Today is the 153th birthday of a Lion, a Hero, a fierce monk, a legend who has come into this world to educate, enlighten, inspire people on the planet, especially youth. If you want to know how a true Indian would be, then you should look at Swami Vivekananda were the words of Noble Prize winner, Rabindranath Tagore.
On the eve of his 153rd birthday, I want to share with you some of the incidents and messages of Swami ji which have inspired me a lot.
Swami Vivekananda – Be a Lion
Swami ji wanted the youth (not only youth but every individual) to be like lions, not anything less than a hero. He used to consider weakness equivalent to death. My most favorite of all his thought is
Earth is enjoyed by heroes, this is an unfailing truth. Always say ‘I have no fear’ and say this to everybody ‘have no fear’ because fear is sin, fear is death, fear is un-righteousness and all the negative emotions in this world have originated from the evil spirit of fear.
We are seeing now and then people who are blaming fate and god for each and every failure or downfall they are facing instead of accepting the failure and learning the valuable lessons from failures. Swami ji used to consider
The old religion said, he who doesn’t believe in god is an atheist. While the new religion says that, the person who doesn’t believe in himself and believes in all the gods existing in the world and those newly created then he is considered as an Atheist.
The person who doesn’t believes in himself or has no self-confidence is considered as an Atheist.
Fire igniting words
His words are very special and brave, they can ignite the dream of conquering the world in the heart of a person who is ready to commit suicide. I am not just bluffing, this is true, Anna Hazare who is leading many national movements for the people and helping many people before that was inspired by a small booklet of Swami Vivekananda when he was about to commit suicide.
Stand up and fight! Not one step back, that is the idea. Fight it out, whatever comes. Let the stars move from the sphere! Let the whole world stand against us! Death means only a change of garment,. What of it? Thus Fight! You gain nothing by becoming cowards. TAking a step backward, you do not avoid any misfortune. You have cried to all the gods in the world. Has miser ceased? .. The gods come to help you when you have succeeded. So what is the use? Die game…. You are infinite, deathless, birthless. Because you are infinite spirit, it does not befit you to be a slave. Arise! Awake! Stand up and fight!
Our actions should be like sea tides
He claims that he is inspired by the waves / tides of the sea, not because they will rise and fall, but because they rise even after falling. He considered our actions should be in such way, they should rise in intensity every time they fall or whenever you fail you should try with even more energy, enthusiasm and this is the only way to success in any endeavor.
He has included the waves even in the symbol of RKMath so that we might never forget this lesson from waves.
To succeed, you must have tremendous perseverance, tremendous will. ‘I will drink the ocean,’ says the persevering soul, ‘at my will mountains will crumble up.’ Have that sort of energy, that sort of will, work hard, and you will reach the goal.
He created more Vivekanandas – RK Math
To give an address for every youth requiring strength even after he left the planet, he has started RK Math for the betterment of the society. RKMath (a.k.a Rama Krishna Math) started on the name of his Guru is servicing the needs of every person is some or the other way through books, seminars, coaching classes, mass prayer sessions, serene meditation halls etc.
I have a wonderful time at RKMath Hyderabad whenever I require some strength and when I am lacking motivation if you have to know more about that lion then search for his books in google or any rkmath website and you can get a thunderbolt to achieve almost anything in this world.
Here are some of their websites
